Fuel Tips for Stihl Equipment Owners

Village Square Home & Auto is in full swing with Stihl equipment repairs. We want your business, but there are ways to avoid costly repairs. Fuel is the main cause of most failures when starting your equipment.

Ways to avoid this problem is first use non ethanol fuel or premixed fuel. Not affordable at first, but it is in the long run.

Next is using 89 or better octane, never use a lower octane! If you use ethanol fuel only keep it for 1 month after that use it in something else like your garden tractor (not going to hurt it). When storing your equipment over a period of time, empty your tank and replace with premixed fuel such as Sithl motomix or a product like Aspen fuel. Start the unit up, let it run for a minute or less. Then store it.
